I drove across the Foothills Parkway and down Little River Road in the @greatsmokynps to my meeting this morning... And I didn’t see a single soul minus a turkey or two (and a gorgeoussssss shooting star) until I reached the Sugarlands Visitors Center. The quiet days of winter in the Smokies has officially arrived. 💙 (Photo is from a previous snow day in the park.☃️)

With pictures, with life, with our friends, it’s tempting to think that the people around us have it figured out. It’s also tempting to think that other people are always happy. While I’m hanging out with people, I see smiles and laughter, and confidence. I get jealous and wonder how it’s so easy for them? In my experience, I work though thoughts and emotions for hours a day, and a lot of times come out more confused than when I started. I start my mornings pleading with God for the faith and confidence I don’t have, I ask Him to carry my anxieties as He has graciously promised to do. Im full of fears and doubts and questions. Being weak is frustrating, it reminds me that I’m inferior. When I look back at 2019, I see God’s everlasting hands holding me. But unfortunately, my year was full of a lot of distrust and doubt in Him. I felt more weak and afraid this year than ever before, I tried too often to understand life on my own. I’ve been following Jesus for four years now, which is not so long now that I think about it. In my early years, I learned that God is personal. He made the heavens and the earth and knows the hairs on my head, yet He is closer than a friend and is concerned about my well being. Two years ago I fell in love with God’s Word, and started reading it daily. Now I can’t live without it. The sovereign God has revealed Himself in the Bible, I don’t want to miss what He’s saying to us. This last year I have been walking in fear though, feeling distant from the ecstasy of knowing Christ. These doubts bring me even closer to His Word and prayer and pleading. I’m still in this season. It’s been a tough one. I’m weak and hanging on to the only One who has promised to never leave me or forsake me. For anyone else who is walking through this season, keep clinging. There is great reward (James 1:12).-2 Corinthians 12:9 “But he (God) said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”-Weakness is God’s wonderful platform to demonstrate His power and faithfulness to our wayward hearts once again.

It all starts with a vision--every adventure, every photograph, every creation. It's not only the vision that turns ideas into execution but those that enabled me to look back and learn from every little thing in life. My vision got me where I am, the vision that allows me to examine every single detail that creates depth and authenticity.#ManWithaVision#ChopardAlpineEagle@Chopard

This was a morning I won’t be forgetting any time soon. @reneeroaming and I woke up at 3am to go for a sunrise hike. It was still dark, but as we rose above the clouds we knew we were going to be in for a treat. After the sun had risen and we were finished with our photos, we decided to go for a walk around the meadows and found this cute little cabin with what has to be one of the most beautiful views on earth. I wouldn’t mind coming up here every now and again for some alone time, would you?Shot on the @sonyalpha A7R IV and 24-70 lens. F4, 1/2000, ISO 100#AlphaCollective#BeAlpha

♥️🎄✨ Christmas tree twinning with @keikolynn ! Been lucky enough to bond with this babe ! It can be really hard to find friends as adults and maybe even more so in this industry. I spend a lot of days working alone in my apartment, and really miss interacting with people the way I used to do everyday when I worked at coach ! As a blogger, you know a lot of other bloggers but some are simply colleagues and not really friends - and I’m learning that’s okay! Since we don’t drink and so much of adult socializing centers around alcohol that adds an additional barrier & I often feel left out when I’m never invited to nights out (even tho I probably wouldn’t go 😛). And when you do find friends here in the blogosphere, things change: people move, start families, stop blogging or something happens (like loosing your brother) and others don’t know how to react. I lost a lot of friends when I lost Trent, some people couldn’t handle it and just disappeared. I also didn’t really want those people around after I felt abandoned so I’m part to blame. I was really bitter and hurt, so it took a while for me to start forming relationships again and letting people in. All this to say, that I’m really thankful for the friendship I’ve found in @keikolynn (& @thisfellow too). Some friendships aren’t forever and that’s okay, but you can always make new ones if you’re brave enough to put yourself out there & put the effort in ! ♥️✨ if you’ve had any adult friendship expierences (good or bad) you want to share in the comments, please do ! Use it as a place to vent, chat with me or maybe even make a new friend! Ready go 🥰👇🏾♥️ // 📸 @thisfellow

Right around this time last year my dear friend Maddie was diagnosed with cancer, it was one of those moments you start trying to make bargains with the universe, somehow thinking life is off schedule. But today the good news is that my dear speckled friend is healthy, running hard, enjoying life like only dogs can do. And likely most important we now know that today is enough. It’s what we’ve been given and all is on schedule ✨

It’s been a wild year and decade. The last 10 years I’ve grown, been beaten down and heart broken, rescued my soul dog, started a career in photography, moved states, fell in love, fell out of love and met the most amazing people who have changed my life. But the best thing to come out of the last 10 years is the love I have developed for myself. I am not perfect, but I love myself for those imperfections. I can’t wait to see what this next year and decade has in store. I feel confident that it will be wonderfully messy and full of growth. Thank you for all your support and hope this new year brings you happiness and love.

As 2019 comes to a close, we look back at some of the highlights from the past year. We have more than ever focused on resiliency, transformation and green mobility. We know that any newly built house or transformation, public space or neigbourhood requires a certain amount of our planet's resources, and we are entrusted to exchange these into resilient and long-term solutions. 2019 began with the opening of @roskildefestivalhojskole - the first newly established folk high school in Denmark in 50 years, built in an abandoned factory, and the opening of @kogenordstation, Copenhagen's newest public transport landmark. Also inagurated this year were Karen Blixens Plads with its undulating landscape of hollowed-out bicycle hills, and the first of many ultra-fast charging stations for EVs along Scandinavian highways. These highlights are just a selection of what happend in 2019. Do you have a favorite? Thank you all for following. Here is to more in 2020! Happy New Year!Photos: @ossipvanduivenbode and @coast_studio
